How long should it take us to receive a Regional Skilled Migration Visa to Australia?
We just mailed our skills assessment and expect to receive a good result. We will be moving to either Western Australia, Tasmania, South Australia, or Victoria, in one of the wine regions. We are hoping to purchase a vineyard/orchard/bed and breakfast accommodation and manage it ourselves. We are applying for the skilled regional visa rather than the business owner's visa to give us more flexibility in employment. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
Processing time will depend on a couple on things, e.g. the state you apply to and your nominated occupation.
Also, is it the Skilled Independent Regional (SIR) visa or the State / Territory Nominated Independent (STNI) you are applying for? If you are thinking of applying for the SIR are you aware that it is only a temporary residence visa in which case it might be worthwhile investigating your permanent residence options.
If you email me your details at answers@visalogic.net I can provide you with more exact information.
